When is the best time to take RELAMINTTM?

We have done some research and came to conclusion that there is no definite answer to this question, as everyone has a different body. If you are not completely sure what time of the day is best for you to use RELAMINTTM, we would recommend to take it preferably 30 minutes after a meal.

How do you ensure the quality of RELAMINTTM?

The peppermint leaves used in production of RELAMINTTM are selected from carefully audited farms in the Mediterranean area or Middle East. Once packed the product goes through its second phase of laboratory testing according to EU and International regulations to verify its quality.

What is the advantage of taking RELAMINTTM compared to adding peppermint essential oil directly to water?

RELAMINTTM is a liquid herbal digestive support solution consisting of food grade and pasteurised peppermint hydrosol plus a carefully selected dosage of peppermint essential oil. Peppermint hydrosol itself contains a lot of the water-soluble micro-molecules of essential oil as well as water-soluble plant components. By taking RELAMINTTM, you are basically receiving the benefits of both peppermint essential oil and peppermint hydrosol in a solution which has no added sugar, alcohol or chemical preservatives.

How RELAMINTTM differs from peppermint oil capsules?

There are normally two types of peppermint oil capsules available in the market: Enteric Coated (EC) and Gelatine type.

Enteric Coated capsules have an outer polymer coating (its shell) which is usually made from some form of plastic, with the common plastics being Cellulose Acetate Phthalate (CAP) and Polyvinyl Acetate Phthalate (PVAP), Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Diethyl Phthalate (DEP), among others. All of these Phthalates are being scientifically researched for their effect on human. For DBP and DEP, adverse reproductive and/or developmental effects have been observed in non-clinical studies and as a consequence, Permitted Daily Exposures (PDEs) have been introduced in EU. The phthalate DBP, which has been shown to have potentially harmful adverse effects, is found in non-prescription medications such in many non-prescription and probiotic capsule or tablet supplements used frequently by gastroenterologists.

Gelatine type capsules normally contain bovine gelatin which is animal based protein and glycerin which is again a chemical compound.

RELAMINTTM, on the other hand, has no added sugar, alcohol or chemical preservatives, thanks to the special pasteurisation process of its main ingredient.

How fibers help with digestion?

Fiber rich foods, including vegetables, legumes, fruits, and wholegrains, help move food through the digestive system more rapidly. They also help prevent constipation, feed good gut bacteria, and help with maintaining a healthy weight.

Contrary to fiber containing foods, fast foods or processed foods are often high in fat, making them difficult to digest. They are also rich in sugar, which may upset the balance of bacteria in the gut.

Human body should naturally produce many of the enzymes required to digest food, but if you have an upredictable stomach, you can try adding RELAMINTTM to your diet to help support your digestive system.

Is there any difference between peppermint and spearmint?

Yes, there is a difference.

Generally speaking, peppermint has a spicy flavour and contains more menthol, spearmint is sweeter with more carvone and contains a very small amount of menthol. The name spearmint derives from its pointed leaf tips (spear + mint). There are many researchers who have done double blind placebo controlled trials on patients suffering from IBS with Peppermint Oil, and have come to conclusion that Peppermint Oil can be effective in relieving IBS symptoms.

RELAMINTTM contains peppermint essential oil as one of its main ingredients.

What is IBS or Irritable Bowel Syndrome?

– IBS is a very common condition in adults that affects the digestive system.

– It causes symptoms like stomach cramps, bloating, diarrhoea and constipation. These tend to come and go over time, and can last for days, weeks or months at a time.

– There’s no internationally recognised cure for IBS, but diet changes, supplements and medicines can often help control the symptoms.

– The exact cause is unknown – it’s been linked to things like food passing through gut too quickly or too slowly, over-sensitive nerves in the gut, stress, and a family history of IBS.
